MARCH 2011 | GLEN GRANT media and sponsorship event with stars of the Italian national rugby team.

This event was organised on behalf of Glen Grant, Sponsor of the Italian National Rugby team on the eve of it’s historic 6 Nations victory over France in Rome. Two teams of ‘chefs’ squared off against one another with a mission to create wonderful desserts to accompany the 3 different ages of Glen Grant whiskeys; 5, 10 and 16 year old single malts. The event was hosted by SKY ITALIA’s Tania Zamparo and ‘Master Chef’ for the evening went to popular prop Martin Castrogiovanni.

NZ2011 EVENT FLORENCE

NOVEMBER 2010 - NZ2011 event to promote NZ as the host nation for Rugby World Cup 2011 to Italian business community .

This event was planned to coincide with the biggest test match of the year in Italy for  2010. Florence ’s  Stadio Franchi played host to AUS v ITA and  EA Consulting was engaged by NZ2011 and NZTE in Milan to plan, organise and implement the event in association with the FIR and Commune di Firenze. Across the day 450 guests enjoyed NZ food, wine, cultural performances and entertainment. The host for the event was NZ2011 Ambassador John Kirwan with Special guest Jonah Lomu.  SKY Italia covered the event as did many Italian print media journalists.

RWC 2011 PREVIEW

APRIL 2010 - Rugby World Cup 2011 documentary previewing New Zealand and the RWC tournament  for Italian audiences .

This trip was aimed at previewing the venues of the Italian team during the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand in September 2011. The documentary covers the stadium progress at the 3 destination cities: Christchurch, Nelson and Dunedin and provides informative look at  some of New Zealand’s tourist highlights. The preview is packed with interviews with the key 2011 RWC organisers, NZ regional government officials and contains  opinions and  predictions from some of New Zealand’s top rugby managers, coaches and star All Blacks.

RUGBY DOCUMENTARY - Inside Rugby 7’s

MARCH 2010 - Rugby sevens documentary focusing on the 2010 Hong Kong  tournament.

This documentary is destined for Italian and European rugby audiences and is an informative 26 minute piece covering the history of rugby sevens as well as looking at the new direction 7’s rugby is evolving now it has been accepted as an Olympic sport. Fantastic interviews and content from the most famous tournament of them all, Hong Kong. We take a look at all of the off-field action, the crowds, the events and the impact of the tournament on the city and follow the fortunes of the Italian 7’s team at the tournament.

CHARITY FASHION SHOW- Hong Kong

MARCH 2010 - Fashion Show ‘What Women Want’ with Italian 7’s Team in Hong Kong .

www-eventThis charity fashion show with Italian rugby 7’s team in Hong Kong was a joint-project in association with ‘Tap That’ Events and CKB solutions during the 2010 Hong Kong 7’s tournament. The ‘women only’ event involved a runway show of designer boxers and a cocktail evening for 300 local Hong Kong women at the exclusive ‘W Hotel’. A percentage of the proceeds went in support of the Breast Cancer foundation for Hong Kong.

FEB 2010 - Project Management RUGBY FOR AFRICA. The INVICTUS film premier and UNICEF charity event in Milan .

flyer-rugby-for-africa_webThis evening was brought together by English Advantage for TM Sport Management in association with UCI Cinemas Italia, Gren Grant (official sponsor of the Italian Rugby Team), Arti e Sapore catering and Passpartout eventi.
300 guests attended the Italian premier of the Film Invictus, starring Matt Damon & Morgan Freeman. The film was followed by a after-party at Old Fashion in Milan with approximately 500 guests from the Northern Italian rugby community.

SOCIAL INITIATIVE - AS Rugby Milano, Edison, Iveco, Adidas

DEC - 2009   Interpreter and All Black Liaison for the visit to the Carcere Beccaria di Milano

abs-beccaria-webThis ’social responsibility’ initiative to visit the  rugby students at the juvenile prison in Milan was  a joint project,  lead by AS Rugby Milano with  the support of its  project partners: IVECO, Edison and Adidas. This role included all the event pre-planning and comunications with All Black management and sponsors in the lead-up to the event and on the day the focus was on media hosting, interpreting and coordinating the event.

HOSTING & LOGISTICAL SUPPORT - Ospreys Rugby

DEC 2009 - Italian liaison for Heineken cup match with Italian Club Viadana, Reggio Emilia.

This project involved taking care of the logistics and on-the- ground organisation for the Ospreys Heineken cup team. Transport, transfers, interpreting and organisation and coordination of training facilities, pre-match preparations, meals and accomodation.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT - NZTE MILAN

JUN - NOV 2009 - Project Management of Commercial activity - All Blacks v Italy Test match at San Siro, Milan.

carly-abs1Events included Cooking with the All Blacks, 240 dinner guests and stars from the All Blacks and Italia’s Next Top model competing with one another cooking traditional Italian dishes using fresh New Zealand ingredients. Guest judges included All Blacks coach Graham Henry and soccer star Clarence Seedorf from AC Milan and the event was hosted by ex Miss Italia, Tania Zamparo from SKY SPORT. The second event was a 240 person B2B pre match event between Italian and NZ businesses. Special guests included Ex All Black Captain Tana Umaga and Jonah Lomu was kindly accompanied by Adidas/ Havas Sport.

NOV 2009 - Interpreter - Press Conference - Ex-All Black Jonah Lomu, Milan.

jonahThis press conference in support of junior Rugby in Milan organised by Adidas, Edison and A.S Rugby Milano included troupes from major Italian TV stations Mediaset and Sky TV as well as many print media journailists.
The job involved simultaneous, on-camera liaison interpreting for a Q & A session with and journalists and the 100 junior rugby players present .
